Eliminating the Mammoth Plugin Jetpack

A while ago it came to my attention that the group of plugins called Jetpack were bogging down my WordPress sites with slow load times and even overcoming the server with high demand on the server processor. I am running a Virtual Private Server with lots of power but for this glutton of a plugin it is not enough. Though the functions provided by Jetpack are truly wonderful I can’t have it shutting down my server when traffic gets high so I am eliminating it and replacing it with multiple individual plugins, the collective memory and processor requirements of which will be much lower than the mammoth Jetpack. The gallery above is a first test of a mosaic gallery replacement. Can you tell I have maple syrup on my mind?
