With the blog’s title now above the banner, I could again allow the featured images associated with the blogs to replace the banner image. After activating this feature I was surprised to see it did not work. I tried both resizing the images to slightly larger than the required size and this seemed to work though some images that were slightly smaller still didn’t show. What ultimately worked was to remove the featured images one at a time from the blogs and then add them back again.
Just because this is the last day of possible ice on the lake I’m adding another of my ice pictures as a featured image and this gallery of them all.
- melting ice
- view from a point of land over the melted out center of Glen Lake
- Along the trail above Glen Lake looking through the trees to the water
- beads of water on the ice
- cracks showing the ice to be 4 inches thick
- cracks and grass on the surface make an interesting design
- The ice continues out into and around Glen Lake with melted out area in the middle where the sun can reach all day
- ice still filling Dead Creek to the north of the Route 14 landing
